What We Did On Our Holiday: David Tennant's "Best Big Screen Performance To Date"

Brian Ferguson of The Scotsman has described the new BBC Films comedy What We Did On Our Holiday as one of the best British films of the year and says that it represents possibly the best big screen performances to date by its stars David Tennant and Billy Connolly. The bittersweet comedy, due to be released in September, also stars Ben Miller, Rosamund Pike, Celia Imrie, Annette Crosbie and Amelia Bullmore, and is the work of Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, the creative team behind such comedy hits as Outnumbered and Drop The Dead Donkey . However, Ferguson also queries why the movie was not screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and was instead only shown at a number of private screenings around the UK.
