VIDEO: The Cast And Creatives Of Good Omens Pay Tribute To Terry Pratchett

Amazon Prime have released a video of the cast and creatives of Good Omens paying tribute to the late Sir Terry Pratchett and discussing the legacy he left behind. The series is based on the cult fantasy novel of the same name, which was written by Terry in collaboration with Neil Gaiman. Neil adapted the book for screen, writing the scripts and acting as showrunner for the huge project.

Edinburgh International Film Festival Hosts Exclusive Good Omens Screening Today

Today the Edinburgh International Film Festival  presents an exclusive opportunity to see all six episodes of Good Omens on the big screen. The event kicks off this afternoon at 1.30pm at Vue Omni.

Good Omens is a six part adaptation of the cult comic novel of the same title written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, which follows the attempts by a demon and an angel to destroy the Antichrist and halt the oncoming Apocalypse. David Tennant and Michael Sheen star as Crowley and Aziraphale, with other cast members including Adria Arjone, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Michael McKean, Jon Hamm, Daniel Mays, Ned Dennehy and Anna Maxwell Martin. Written and produced by Neil Gaiman and directed by Douglas Mackinnon, the series is now available to stream in over 200 countries via Amazon Prime.

UK: Takin’ Over The Asylum: Hey Jude Airs On BBC Scotland Tonight

BBC Scotland begin their repeat run of Takin’ Over The Asylum tonight  at 9pm.
The 1994 comedy drama stars Ken Stott as Eddie McKenna, a replacement window salesman and part-time DJ who starts up a radio station in a psychiatric hospital in Glasgow. David Tennant  plays Campbell, a teenage bipolar resident of the facility. Other cast members include Katy Murphy as Francine, Andrew Macfadyen as Angus and Ruth McCabe as Rosalie, with Arabella Weir as radio exec Paula and a cameo from the late Spike Milligan. 

Written by Donna Franceschild and directed by David Blair, the BAFTA winning series explored the stigmatisation of people living with mental illness through the experiences of the hospital residents and McKenna's struggles with his own alcoholism. 

BBC Scotland is available to viewers in Scotland on most broadcast platforms, including Freeview, Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media.

Children in Need: Got It Covered is a brand new venture from BBC One and BBC Children in Need for 2019 which involves some of the UK’s biggest names from stage and screen as they band together to produce an entire album of cover songs whilst helping to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK.

Doctor Who Celebrates 20 Years On Audio At Big Finish With 20 Hour Livestream

To celebrate 20 years of Doctor Who on audio, BBC Studios and Big Finish Productions present a 20 hour weekend livestream marathon of Doctor Who audio dramas on YouTube. And everyone’s invited to the party!

Over two days on the 20th and 21st July, the official home of Doctor Who on YouTube will broadcast more than 20 episodes of Big Finish audio adventures, featuring David Tennant, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann and David Bradley, among many others. David Tennant's 2017 romantic comedy with a twist, You, Me And Him, premieres on Sky Movies in the UK today.

The first full length feature film by writer and director Daisy Aitkens and producer Georgia Tennant, You, Me And Him is a delightful comedy with a very modern twist.

Olivia and Alex (Lucy Punch and Faye Marsay) are a lesbian couple who are very much in love. As the question of pregnancy beckons, they befriend their new neighbour, John (David Tennant), and lines begin to blur as the trio finds themselves in some truly uncharted territory.
Sally Phillips, Simon Bird, Sarah Parish, Gemma Jones and David Warner also guest star.

NEW PROJECT: David Tennant To Guest Star In Netflix Drama ‘Criminal’

David Tennant is one of a host of guest stars to be announced for a new Netflix drama called Criminal.

Criminal is a ground breaking crime drama set across the UK, France, Spain and Germany. The drama all takes place within the confines of a police interview suite. It is described as a stripped-down, cat-and-mouse drama that will focus on the intense mental conflict between the police officer and the suspect in question.

There are three 45-minute episodes set in each country. The series will drop worldwide in Autumn 2019. The Idiotlamp-produced series was filmed at Netflix’s new production hub in Madrid. George Kay and Jim Field Smith are showrunners.

The episodes are all in the local language, with writing and directing talent from the individual territories taking charge of the episodes from their countries, setting up an innovative production model.

NEW PROJECT: French TV Mag Reveals David Tennant To Star In Around The World In 80 Days

The French press report today that David Tennant will take the lead in a new international production of the classic Jules Verne novel Around The World In 80 Days. The news was revealed by Le Figaro's TV Magazine earlier today. 

The eight-part adaptation of the 19th Century classic will be co-produced by London's Slim Film and Television and Paris-based Federation Entertainment and backed and distributed by France Télévisions, Germany's ZDF, Italy's RAI (the European Alliance) and Australia’s Seven West Media. David Tennant will take on the seminal role of Phileas Fogg, alongside  French star Ahmed Sylla (The Climb) as Fogg's butler Passepartout, who takes on the adventure of a lifetime. The casting for the role of newspaper reporter Abigail Fix, who joins the wager-led journey she devised in an attempt to make her mark in a man’s world and to emerge from the long shadow of her father is yet to be announced.

USA: United Starring David Tennant Comes To Acorn TV Next Month

The acclaimed BBC drama United starring David Tennant and Jack O'Connell will be added to US streaming service Acorn TV from July 22nd. Based on the story of Manchester United’s “Busby Babes” in the aftermath of the 1958 Munich air disaster that claimed eight members of the squad, United stars David as the team's assistant manager Jimmy Murphy and Jack O’Connell as rising star player Bobby Charlton. David Tennant Adds Extra Date To His GalaxyCon Raleigh Schedule

David Tennant has added an extra day to his GalaxyCon Raleigh schedule next month, meaning he will now be attending on Friday 26th July, Saturday 27th July and fans will now get an extra chance to meet him on Sunday 28th July.

David will also be joined by his Doctor Who co-stars Billie Piper and Catherine Tate for the three day event. 
They will be taking part in solo photo ops, group photo ops, autograph signings and a Q&A event will take place on Friday evening.
