The repeat of the acclaimed drama Broadchurch on ITV's new channel ITV Encore was, as expected, their ratings topper for the the night. The 2013 series starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman brought in 120,600 viewers, giving a 0.6% audience share. The series originally aired on ITV last March to 6.8m viewers (28.1%).
The peak time winner of the night was BBC One's David Beckham: Into The Unknown, watched by 4.6m (20.7%).
ITV Encore launched yesterday with the promise to bring viewers the very best in contemporary ITV drama. It is available exclusively to Sky customers across all of Sky's broadcast platforms, including online, on-demand and catch up services. A double bill of the first two episodes of Broadchurch made up the core of the peak time schedule; other programming on offer included Poirot and The Ice Cream Girls.
Broadchurch continues on ITV Encore in two-episode double bills from 9pm every night this week until Thursday. Find ITV Encore on Sky Channel 123.
