Doctor Who To Get New Behind The Scenes Spin Off Series To Coincide With The Return Of David Tennant & Catherine Tate

Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies has apparently commissioned a new special behind-the-scenes series ahead of the 60th anniversary of the show according to reports. It will be titled Doctor Who: Unleashed, will air on BBC Three, and will give fans a sneak-peek behind the scenes at the filming process, beginning with a look at the return of David Tennant and Catherine Tate, according to The Mirror . The series will be similar in format to Doctor Who Confidential, the behind-the-scenes show that ran from 2005 to 2012 and will continue to air alongside the next full season which will see Ncuti Gatwa take over the TARDIS. A source told The Mirror that RTD is "aware that Doctor Who fans can never get enough content" and that he thought "the time was right to bring back a behind-the-scenes show which will document their comebacks and show how the special was made". David Tennant's New Drama Litvinenko To Launch On ITVX This Autumn

David Tennant's new ITV drama Litvinenko will launch on the channel's newest streaming service ITVX in the Autumn.  Representing a re-imagining of the current ITV Hub on-demand platform from the UK’s leading commercial broadcaster, ITVX will offer viewers a choice of over 9,000 hours of new series, documentaries, cult classics and films. It will premiere a collection of new dramas at launch, which will only be available on the streamer for at least six months before making their debut on ITV channels, including the anticipated cold war drama A Spy Among Friends starring Damian Lewis and Guy Pearce; new teen drama Tell Me Everything, and four-part thriller Without Sin starring Vicky McClure. At least one flagship show will then launch on ITVX per week going forward including Russell T Davies’ Nolly starring Helena Bonham Carter; period drama The Confessions of Frannie Langton starring Karla-Simone Spence, Sophie Cookson and Patrick Martins; and Litvinenko starring David Tennant

Sharon Small Joins David Tennant And Elliot Levey In Good

Sharon Small has joined David Tennant and Elliot Levey in the cast of Good, which opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre later this year. Set in 1930s Germany, the play follows a professor who attempts to rationalise the actions and anti-semitism of the Nazi party. David will be taking on the lead role of Professor John Halder in the piece. Good has direction by Dominic Cooke and the creative team includes designer Vicki Mortimer. Good will run for a new season from 6th October 2022 at the Harold Pinter Theatre, with dates until 24th December 2022. Press night will take place on Wednesday 12th October. The show was originally meant to begin previews at the Playhouse Theatre on 6th October 2020 and run for ten weeks, but had been forced to move dates given the ongoing pandemic. It was then rescheduled for 2021, and has now been moved for a second time. Inside Man To Preview At BFI Southbank In September With David Tennant Attending

The much anticipated BBC thriller Inside Man, starring David Tennant, will have a special preview screening on September 19th at BFI Southbank as part of their new events season for this autumn. The four-part thriller was written by former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and follows a prisoner on death row in the US, a vicar in a quiet English town and a maths teacher trapped in a cellar, as they cross paths in the most unexpected way. David plays vicar Harry Watling in the drama, which will also stream on Netflix internationally.  The screening of Episode 1 will be followed by a Q&A with David and his co-stars Stanley Tucci (Fortitude), Dolly Wells (Around The World In 80 Days) and Lydia West (It's A Sin) along with Steven Moffat and director Paul McGuigan. Tickets for the event go on sale on Thursday 4th August at 11.30am, and will be available here .
