Staged & Des: More Award Nominations For David Tennant Shows

Two of David Tennant's 2020 shows have picked up award nominations, in the Braodcast Awards and in Canada's Banff World Media Festival's Rockie Awards. The BBC's hit lockdown comedy Staged stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen as exaggerated versions of themselves, two frustrated actors attempting to rehearse a play over Zoom while the country is in lockdown. Co-starring their real-life partners Georgia Tennant and Anna Lundberg, Staged was written and directed by Simon Evans, who also joins the cast with Lucy Eaton, Nina Sosanya and some amazing guest stars. The real crime ITV drama Des stars David Tennant as Dennis Nilsen, one of the UK's most prolific serial killers who murdered at least a dozen men and boys in his London residences between 1978 and 1983. The series is based on the book Killing For Company by Brian Masters, played by Jason Watkins, and also stars Daniel Mays as DCI Peter Jay, the police officer who brought Nilsen to justice.
