David Tennant Awarded Best Actor In Loudoun Arts Film Festival

David Tennant has been named as Best Actor during the awards ceremony concluding the Loudoun Arts Film Festival earlier this month. The Virginia-based festival included the comedy short Heart To Heart in their 2020 line-up, in which David Tennant voices a young woman's heart. The Loudoun Arts Film Festival programme was screened via a series of Drive-In events held at 50 West Vineyards with the awards ceremony taking place on 19th September. Heart To Heart is a 10-minute episodic pilot, one of two episodes commissioned by Sky Studios, and was due to premiere at this year's SXSW Festival before it was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. The film also stars Fern Deacon, Siena Kelly, Felicity Montagu and Jo Martin. A semi-autobiographical artwork meets sitcom the show follows Sarah as she prepares for her upcoming exhibition at Jealous Gallery. Featuring appearances from David Tennant, Sonia Boyce, Nikki Bedi, Will Gompertz, Grace Saif and Kate Bryan. David Tennant Does A Podcast With... Brian Cox Is Live Now

The latest episode in the new season of David Tennant Does A Podcast With... is now live. This week David is chatting to the actor Brian Cox.  Brian has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he gained recognition for his portrayal of King Lear. He currently stars as media magnate Logan Roy on HBO's Succession. He is also known for appearing in Super Troopers, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, X2, Braveheart, Rushmore, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and Troy.  He was the first actor to portray Hannibal Lecter on film in 1986's Manhunter. An Olivier Award, Emmy Award and Golden Globe winner, Brian has also been nominated for a BAFTA and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2006, Empire readers voted him the recipient of the Empire Icon Award.

USA: DuckTales Season 3 Continues On Disney XD Today With The Premiere Of ‘They Put A Moonlander On Earth!’

Season three of the Emmy Award-nominated DuckTales continues in the USA with a brand new episode, The Phantom And The Sorceress! this evening at 7pm EDT/PDT on Disney XD and DisneyNOW.David Tennant stars as adventuring billionaire Scrooge McDuck in the reboot of the classic 1980s animated series. Co-starring Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as mischievous triplets Huey, Dewey and Louie, Kate Micucci as their fearless friend Webby, Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck, Toks Olagundoye as faithful housekeeper Mrs Beakley and Beck Bennett as inept pilot Launchpad McQuack, the series sees the Duck family embarking on globe-trotting adventures and treasure hunts, and uncovering family secrets along the way.

In tonight’s episode Webby sets out to prove to a homesick Penumbra that Earth can be a lot of fun by riding Glomgold’s newest gift to Duckburg, the suspicious Flintferris Glomwheel.

AUSTRALIA: Staged ‘Up To No Good’ Premieres On ABC COMEDY Tonight

David Tennant's lockdown comedy series Staged continues in Australia tonight at 8.30pm on ABC COMEDY. It will also be available to stream on ABC iView. The series stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, playing fictional versions themselves, with the premise that the pair were due to star in a production of Six Characters in Search of an Author in the West End. The pandemic has put paid to that, but their director (Simon Evans - also playing himself) is determined not to let the opportunity pass him by. He knows how big a chance this is for him and turns his attention to cajoling his stars into rehearsing over the internet. All they need to do is read the first scene, but throughout the series they come up against a multitude of oppositional forces: distraction, boredom, home-schooling and their own egos.

Based on an original idea by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn - Staged is written and directed by Evans and is an Infinity Hill/GCB Films production originally made for a BBC One in the …
