David Tennant Series 'Around The World In 80 Days' To Resume Filming Soon

Production on David Tennant's new TV series, Around The World in 80 Days, which was suspended due to the coronavirus crisis, is due to resume shortly. Filming was taking place in South Africa when they were flown home in mid-March. David Tennant revealed recently that they had completed one and a half episodes when production halted.

The news was revealed by France Télévisions through their Twitter account.

With the new series of There She Goes Set To Premiere On BBC Two next week David has been chatting about the show. There She Goes is a comedy-drama based on the real life experiences of writers Shaun Pye and Sarah Crawford, whose daughter was born with an extremely rare and, to date, undiagnosed chromosomal disorder.  The series follows the day-to-day life of Rosie Yates (Miley Locke), a severely learning disabled girl and her family; dad Simon (David Tennant), mum Emily (Bafta Award-winning Jessica Hynes) and older brother Ben (Edan Hayhurst), as they cope with everyday situations like encouraging her to talk and persuading her that not every day is Christmas. Series one, which debuted on BBC Four in 2018, chronicled the dual timeline of Rosie as a newborn and aged nine. This new series will be set around 18 months on and will focus on Rosie at the ages of three and 11. There She Goes begins on Thursday 9 July, 9.30pm on BBC Two.

There She Goes stars David Tennant, Jessica Hynes and writer Shaun Pye are interviewed in the new issue of TV Times which is out today in both print and digital.


Starring David Tennant and Jessica Hynes the series is based on the real life experiences of writer Shaun Pye, whose daughter was born with an extremely rare and, to date, undiagnosed chromosomal disorder.  There She Goes follows the day to day life of a severely learning disabled girl Rosie (Miley Locke), her dad Simon (David Tennant), mum Emily (Jessica Hynes) and brother Ben (Edan Hayhurst). Jessica Hynes recently won a Bafta for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme for her role in the show. The second series of There She Goes, the heartwarming comedy drama about a family with a learning disabled daughter, begins in the UK on Thursday 9th July at 9.30pm. The new series also sees the show make the move from its original channel BBC Four to its new home on BBC Two.

David Tennant Hosts Sam’s Riverside Quiz Night This Evening

David Tennant is hosting Sam’s Riverside Quiz Night tonight from 7pm.
The quiz, which is taking place on Zoom, is to help raise the profile of Sam’s Riverside restaurant voucher scheme and to encourage you to come and support them when they re-open their doors to the public. 
They are also raising money for the mental health charity the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.

UK: Broadchurch Series 1 Episode 4 Repeated On ITV Tonight

Broadchurch continues its prime time repeat run in the UK tonight on ITV at 9pm.
