Dear NHS - Featuring A Contribution From David Tennant - Is Released Today

David Tennant is one of a host of well known faces who have contributed to a new book to thank the NHS for their work.
Dear NHS: 100 Stories To Say Thank You, is released today, and is edited and compiled by Adam Kay. It celebrities telling their personal stories of the care that they or their loved ones have received from the health service.


Other contributors include: Paul McCartney, Emilia Clarke, Peter Kay, Stephen Fry, Dawn French, Sir Trevor McDonald, Graham Norton, Sir Michael Palin, Naomie Harris, Ricky Gervais, Sir David Jason, Dame Emma Thompson, Joanna Lumley and many, many more.  All profits from the book will go to NHS Charities Together to fund vital research and projects, and The Lullaby Trust which supports parents bereaved of babies and young children.

UK: There She Goes Series 2 Premieres On BBC Two Tonight

The second series of There She Goes, the heartwarming comedy drama about a family with a learning disabled daughter, begins in the UK tonight at 9.30pm. The new series also sees the show make the move from its original channel BBC Four to its new home on BBC Two. 

Starring David Tennant and Jessica Hynes the series is based on the real life experiences of writer Shaun Pye, whose daughter was born with an extremely rare and, to date, undiagnosed chromosomal disorder. There She Goes follows the day to day life of a severely learning disabled girl Rosie (Miley Locke), her dad Simon (David Tennant), mum Emily (Jessica Hynes) and brother Ben (Edan Hayhurst). Jessica Hynes recently won a Bafta for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme for her role in the show.Series one, which debuted in 2018, chronicled the dual timeline of Rosie as a newborn and age nine. The new series is set around 18 months on and will focus on Rosie at the ages of three and 11.

David Tennant To Take Part In The RSC’s Talking Shakespeare Event

David Tennant is to take part in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s new Talking Shakespeare event.
Talking Shakespeare is an exclusive series of online, live events for RSC SubscribersMembers and Patrons. With the theatres sadly closed, RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran has invited some very special guests and RSC Associate and Honorary Associate Artists to join him to talk about Shakespeare, their memories of the RSC and more. As well as David Tennant other guests will include Judi Dench, Ray Fearon, Harriet Walter, Patrick Stewart, Adjoa Andoh, Simon Russell Beale, Paterson Joseph and Alexandra Gilbreath, with more to be announced in the coming weeks. New Tenth Doctor Audio Adventure ‘The Minds of Magnox’ To Be Released As Part Of The Time Lord Victorious Story Arc

BBC Audio and Demon Records have today announced that they will be publishing a brand new Doctor Who audio story for the Tenth Doctor as part of the Time Lord Victorious multi-platform adventure.  Doctor Who: The Minds of Magnox will be released on CD and digital download by BBC Audio on 3rd December and will be released on vinyl by Demon Records on 4th December, marking the first simultaneous publication of a BBC Audio title across CD, digital and vinyl formats. The CD and digital editions will also feature a short Coda to the story.  The audio story is available to pre-order now on Amazon, and will be available to purchase globally from Audible and Amazon.  In this original story, the Doctor travels with Brian, the Ood assassin, to the planet Magnox, one of the greatest receptacles of knowledge the universe has ever known, and home to the Minds of Magnox. Vote For David Tennant In The 2020 TV Choice Awards

Voting is now open in the shortlist for the 2020 TV Choice Awards and David Tennant has been nominated yet again as Best Actor. This is the second and final round of voting in these awards and the poll will remain open until midnight on Friday 17th July.

David has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his performance as Tom Kendrick in the chilling Channel 4 drama series Deadwater Fell.

You can place your vote here.

The winners will be announced in the autumn, and this year, for the first time, you will be able to watch the winners' show via an online stream.

David has previously won the Best Actor category several times for his performances in Doctor Who, Broadchurch and Single Father.







UK: Staged ‘Up To No Good’ Repeated On BBC One Tonight

David Tennant's recent comedy series Staged continues a repeat run on BBC One on tonight at 9.45pm, directly after the BBC's new six-part drama series The Secrets She Keeps. Episodes will air on Monday and Tuesday nights over three weeks in July. 

Based on an original idea by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn - Staged is written and directed by Evans and is an Infinity Hill/GCB Films production for BBC One. The series stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, playing fictional versions themselves, with the premise that the pair were due to star in a production of Six Characters in Search of an Author in the West End. The pandemic has put paid to that, but their director (Simon Evans - also playing himself) is determined not to let the opportunity pass him by. He knows how big a chance this is for him and turns his attention to cajoling his stars into rehearsing over the internet. All they need to do is read the first scene, but throughout the series they come up against a multitude of op…
