David and Georgia Tennant will be the hosts of a special Doctor Who edition of the Marie Curie Celebrity Quiz 2020 series next month. The online quiz takes place on Tuesday 15th December from 8.00pm and promises a star-studded adventure through time, space and trivia.  Other events in the series include Alison Steadman's Gavin and Stacy quiz and Louis Theroux's Weird Year in Review. David Tennant is one of the performers appearing on the new Shakespeare season on YouTube channel The Shows Must Go On!. The channel was set up earlier this year to bring show tunes, backstage access and full performances from some of the best loved production in history straight into your home. Featuring the best of musical theatre and beyond, The Shows Must Go On! adds some classic Shakespearean performances to its repertoire.  The season continues this week with a reading of a selection of famous Shakespeare sonnets by a full line-up of stars, including David Tennant, recorded in 2012.  You have until Monday to watch this particular production, and it’s available entirely free of charge on YouTube. David Tennant Contributes To The Story Of Christmas Annual Charity Carol Service

David Tennant will be one of a host of stars taking part in The Story Of Christmas, an annual charity appeal raising funds for disadvantaged children and the homeless.  The Story of Christmas is a charity carol service which usually takes place each year at St George’s Hanover Square in Central London. This year, in view of the pandemic crisis, the event will move online as a magical, star-studded video carol concert. The concert will be released via YouTube on Wednesday 16th December for everyone to enjoy at home, with viewers urged to support The Story of Christmas via their JustGiving Page. There will also be an online charity auction launching on Wednesday 2nd December and concluding at 11pm on Wednesday 16th December when the successful bidders will be revealed. David Tennant Voices Short Film For New Mobile Streaming App Alexander

David Tennant is one of an all-star cast of actors contributing audio performances to a new streaming app, Alexander. Alexander is the new home for original international non-fiction stories, created by the world’s best storytellers, read by A-list acting talent and accompanied by a super short film interpretation by a celebrated filmmaker.  A new English-language feature is released on the app to subscribers every fortnight. The audience can toggle between the written text and the audio performance within the story. Alexander has been conceived and created by veteran film producer Cameron Lamb. Awards Win For Staged As Dan Gage Picks Up Editing Prize

Congratulations to Staged editor Dan Gage who has won the Editing - Entertainment and Comedy in the RTS Craft & Design Awards for his work on the critically acclaimed BBC comedy. The winners were announced via an online celebration hosted by radio broadcaster, actor and spoken word artist Mim Shaikh, with a special message from RTS Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales. The jury felt that Dan's work showed a "...witty, joyous and clever use of technology, this pushed the boundaries of what great editing can achieve." Staged is the brainchild of writer and director Simon Evans who conceived the comedy as a means to work around the restrictions imposed on film and TV production in the first UK lockdown. David Tennant and Michael Sheen star as exaggerated versions of themselves alongside Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, Nina Sosanya, Simon Evans and Lucy Eaton. Premiering on BBC One in June, the series has since moved to Netflix in the UK, Hulu in the USA and iView in Australia
