UK: December TV Premiere For Mary Queen Of Scots On Sky Cinema

Mary Queen Of Scots will have its first showing on UK TV during December on Sky Cinema. The channel promises a premiere every day next month; viewers can also look forward to Avengers: Endgame, Bumblebee, Dumbo, Captain Marvel and Mary Poppins Returns over the course of the month. Sky has yet to confirm the premiere dates for each movie.



Mary Queen Of Scots stars Saoirse Ronan as Mary with Margot Robbie as her rival for power, Elizabeth I. Guy Pearce, Gemma Chan, Jack Lowden and Joe Alwyn also star, with David Tennant as the outspoken Scottish preacher John Knox who publicly voiced his disapproval of a female monarch. Mary Queen Of Scots was written by Beau Willimon and directed by celebrated theatre producer and director Josie Rourke.

David Tennant Is Named As The UK’s Hardest Working Actor

David Tennant has been named as the hardest working actor in the UK according to a new study carried out by BritBox.
The study, led by statistician Geoff Ellis, looked at the UK’s top 100 film and TV and stars who have either won or been nominated for a Bafta or National Television Award in the last decade and who were then analysed on factors such as versatility in acting genres and number of appearances on screen. Others in the top ten included Martin Clunes, Sir David Jason, Olivia Colman, Dame Julie Walters, Derek Jacobi, Dame Judi Dench, James Nesbitt, Steve Coogan and Sean Bean. Sean Bean was also ranked as having the most star power, followed by Sir David Jason. Martin Clunes and Dame Helen Mirren were declared as the most versatile actors. David Tennant will soon be seen back on screen in Channel 4 Thriller Deadwater Fell and a second series of the BBC comedy drama There She Goes.  Find out more about BritBox at www.britbox.co.uk

Children In Need: David Tennant Hears Isla And Eleanor’s Story

As part of last night’s Children In Need David Tennant visited Maggie’s to talk to Isla and Eleanor who very sadly lost their mum, Helen, to cancer. He spoke to the girls and their Dad, Duncan, about how Maggie’s have helped support them for over 10 years.

Deadwater Fell is expected to air in the UK on Channel 4 from January 2020. 




The new 4X60’ drama is written by Daisy Coulam (Humans, Grantchester) and produced by Kudos, part of Endemol Shine UK, it follows two families in the aftermath of a horrific crime. Good Omens And There She Goes Nominated In The C21 International Drama Awards

The finalists for the annual C21 International Drama Awards have been announced and two of David Tennant’s projects are in the running. 
Good Omens is nominated in the Best English Language Drama Series whilst There She Goes is up for Best Comedy Drama Series.


The awards are voted for by the world’s leading scripted commissioners and buyers and the finalists reflect the prolific drama output over the past 12 months.

The winners will be announced at the International Drama Awards Ceremony between 6pm and 7pm on December 5 as part of Content London 2019.
