Decoy Bride Update

There have been further additions to the cast of Decoy Bride.
Michael Urie, who you may know as the wonderful Marc from Ugly Betty will be reunited with helmer Sheree Folkson, who previously directed him in the show. Folkson also directed David in
Sally Phillips who co wrote the film with Neil Jaworski is expected to take a supporting role and Federico Castelluccio also takes a part.
Filming is due to start today and it is expected to shoot for five weeks on location in Scotland and the Isle Of Man.
David will be playing the role of James in the film.

Meanwhile BBC News reports that 100 extras are wanted in the Isle Of Man for the film:
Islanders are wanted as extras in a film shot in the Isle of Man starring former Dr Who actor David Tennant.
More than a 100 Manx people are being sought to appear in the movie, The Decoy Bride.
Ex-Isle Film Agency is holding auditions and is looking for people who have that "remote island look".

Portal Awards Voting Open

If you cast your mind back a week or so you'll remember us telling you about David's record breaking nomination in this year's Airlock Alpha Portal Awards. He broke a Portal Awards record generating the most support ever from a nominating committee. His candidacy for Best Actor for his role as the Doctor in Doctor Who drew 77 points from the nominating committee, more than any other nominee in the 11-year history of the awards!! Fright Night Update

Dreamworks have announced that Fright Night is to be filmed in 3D and will be released on 7th October 2011. It will feature David as Peter Vincent a Las Vegas magician with an expert knowledge of vampires.
Filming is due to begin next month in New Mexico.
Meanwhile other cast members have been revealed as Colin Farrell, Imogen Poots, Toni Collette and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Eleven Doctors Figure Set

Character have announced details of their new Eleven Doctors Figure Set. The set will include all eleven incarnations of the Doctor, including David Tennant as the Tenth Time Lord and will be presented in a TARDIS style box. You can get email updates from Character's website here.

David Nominated For Portal Award

Doctor Who is leading the nominations in this year's Airlock Alpha Portal Awards and David has done particularly well after he broke a Portal Awards record generating the most support ever from a nominating committee. His candidacy for Best Actor drew 77 points from the nominating committee, more than any other nominee in the 11-year history of the awards!!
David's last episode of Doctor Who, The End Of Time, is also nominated for the Best Television Episode award and Doctor Who is up for Best Television Series.

Now everyone will be able to tread the boards in the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre
As part of the work taking place on the transformation of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the original teak stage floor from the 1932 building is currently being re-laid in the new foyer spaces that form the entrances to the theatre’s new auditorium. It gives everyone visiting the new theatre the chance to ‘tread the boards’ of the original stage where many of the world’s greatest actors, including the likes of Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Laurence Olivier, Antony Sher, Patrick Stewart and David Tennant, have performed.

Fright Night

David has joined the cast of a remake of Fright Night. A BBC News report follows: Former Doctor Who actor David Tennant is to star in Hollywood remake Fright Night, according to a US report.
The Scotsman will play a character originally portrayed by Roddy McDowall in the 1985 movie, says industry publication The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor, who was replaced by Matt Smith as the Time Lord, will be making his first major foray into US film.
He previously appeared in the pilot of TV show Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, which was not made into a full series.
Fright Night, which is being made by Dreamworks, will also star Toni Collette as the mother of a teenager who harbours suspicions that his new neighbour - played by Colin Farrell - is a vampire.
Russian-born actor Anton Yelchin, who appeared in Star Trek and Terminator Salvation, has been cast as the boy Charley Brewster.
Tennant will play Peter Vincent, a Las Vegas magician who claims to possess expert knowledge of vampires.
