David Tennant Stars As Loki In Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman Act II Out Now!

David Tennant is one of the cast of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman for Audible. David takes on the role of Loki in the second instalment, The Sandman Act II which was released today. Listen via audible here.  The audio series will continue Audible’s adaptation the best-selling graphic novel series written by Gaiman and published by DC.  The Sandman: Act II is once again adapted and directed by Dirk Maggs and narrated by Gaiman, who also serves as creative director and co-executive producer. The original score is again provided by BAFTA-winning composer James Hannigan. The ensemble cast is led by James McAvoy, reprising the title role of Dream (aka Morpheus), with Kat Dennings as Death, Michael Sheen Lucifer and Andy Serkis Matthew the Raven reprising their respective roles. The first teaser trailer for David Tennant's epic new adventure series Around The World In 80 Days has been released.  Adapted from the classic Jules Verne novel, the eight-part series stars David Tennant as Phileas Fogg, a 19th Century gentleman and adventurer who, with his valet, Passepartout, played by rising French actor Ibrahim Koma, takes on the legendary journey of circumnavigating the globe in just 80 days following an outrageous bet. They are swiftly joined by aspiring journalist Abigail Fix, played by The Crown’s Leonie Benesch, who seizes the chance to report on this extraordinary story. FINAL SPACE: Season 3 Comes To Netflix But It's The End Of The Journey For The Show

There's good news and bad news for fans of the animated series Final Space, created by and starring Olan Rogers and co-starring David Tennant.  The third season of the show, which has already aired on TBS and Adult Swim in the USA, will be available at last to an international audience when it arrives on Netflix on September 16th. Final space follows astronaut Gary and his alien buddy Mooncake as they traverse the galaxy with an eclectic bunch of companions. David voices The Lord Commander, an evil,adversary who is determined to get his hands on Mooncake for the awesome destructive power he possesses. Other cast members include Tika Sumpter, Coty Galloway and Steven Yuen. The bad news is that Season 3 will be the last of the series. David Tennant scooped the award for Best Drama Performance for his role as Dennis Nilsen in the true crime drama Des at last night's National Television Awards. David was presented with the trophy by his Good Omens and Staged co-star Michael Sheen. After being greeted by Michael on the stage, who pretended to accept the award himself, David told him 'I know how hard it was to hand that over'. He then joked 'I’m very sad you’re not up here receiving this award…though obviously not that sad, because I’m delighted.' He went on to thank ITV and everyone involved in the drama and praised them for helping to tell a story in a way which doesn't glorify serial killers.  Turning to his wife Georgia Tennant in the audience he said : 'On a personal note I want to thank Georgia and my family. David Tennant and his true crime drama Des are both nominated in tonight's National Television Awards and you can watch the ceremony live on ITV from 7.30pm to see if they win! David is nominated for Best Drama performance for his role as real life serial killer Dennis Nilsen with the series itself up for Best New Drama. In Des David Tennant appears as serial killer Dennis Nilsen, who murdered over fifteen young men and boys in London over a period of five years. Co-starring Daniel Mays and Jason Watkins, Des focuses on Nilsen's capture and subsequent trial, one of the most infamous criminal cases in UK history. David Tennant & Des Nominated in Edinburgh TV Awards

David Tennant has been nominated as Best TV Actor in the Edinburgh TV Awards 2021 for his performance in the acclaimed ITV series Des. David played real-life serial killer Dennis Nilsen in the three-part drama, who murdered around a dozen young men and boys in his London homes between 1978 and 1983. The series itself is also nominated as Best Drama. The Edinburgh TV Awards, now in their 20th year, are the highlight of the annual Edinburgh TV Festival and celebrate outstanding talent and the breadth of creativity that the TV industry has to offer, both in the UK and abroad. In the TV Actor category,which is new for 2021, David finds himself up against his Des co-star, Jason Watkins as well as his former Doctor Who colleague Billie Piper, who is shortlisted for her performance in I Hate Suzie. Screening Starring David & Georgia Tennant Makes Official Selection In Discover Film Awards

The 2020 short Screening,  written and directed by Christian Brassington, has been accepted into the Official Selection for the Discover Film Awards 2021. The satirical film stars David Tennant, Georgia Tennant, Joanna Horton and Stephen Mangan. Filmed via remote technology during the UK's first lockdown last year, Screening takes us back to 2016, as a scientific advisor gets hit by the full farce of the government she’s trying to help. The all-star cast brilliantly bring to life the story of a disease expert who is wading through the treacle of government bureaucracy.
