LATIN AMERICA: Deadwater Fell Heads To Turner In UK Drama Deal

Endemol Shine International has announced details of the sale of six prestigious UK dramas to Turner Latin America. The package is headed by Deadwater Fell, the gripping four part psychological mystery, produced by Kudos and starring David Tennant, Cush Jumbo, Anna Madeley and Matthew McNulty. The deal was struck at the NATPE Miami content marketplace and conference last week.

Deadwater Fell launched earlier this month on Channel 4 in the UK and concludes tonight. The series focuses on a community devastated by a tragic event, but as the police investigation progresses, more questions are thrown up as secrets are revealed. Endemol Shine International recently announced that the series would launch on streaming service Acorn TV in the USA from April.

Also included in the Turner deal are The Fall starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, Tin Star starring Tim Roth and the Kit Harington mini-series Gunpowder.




VIDEO: Tom Under Interrogation In Tense Deadwater Fell Scene

The UK's armchair detectives will see their theories put to the test tomorrow night as David Tennant's gripping drama Deadwater Fell concludes on Channel 4. The four-part series is centred on the tragic deaths of a mother and her three daughters in a non-accidental house fire. Ahead of the final episode, Channel 4 has released a clip of a key scene from episode 3 which saw David's character being questioned by police.

If you have not yet seen any of the series, be advised that the clip contains major spoilers. The video may not be viewable outside the UK.

David Tennant and his son Ty were on hand to present an award at last night’s National Television Awards. Billed as the biggest night of the year for TV stars, the awards are in their 25th year, and were hosted by David Walliams at London’s O2.
David and Ty did the honours announcing Peaky Blinders as the winner of the Best Drama award.  The full list of winners can be seen on the NTAs official website here and the ceremony is streaming on the ITV Hub.

Ty’s latest acting role is in War Of The Worlds which starts in the USA on 16th February on Epix and in the UK on 5th March on FOX TV UK.

UK: Good Omens Episode 3 Premieres On BBC Two Tonight

Episode 3 of the critically acclaimed series Good Omens premieres on BBC Two from 9pm. The six-part series was adapted from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's cult 1990 novel by Gaiman himself, who also produced the show.  Good Omens was directed by Douglas Mackinnon and premiered in May 2019 on Amazon Prime.

David Tennant stars as fast-living demon Crowley opposite Michael Sheen as fussy angel Aziraphale, a celestial duo who have been on Earth since the Beginning and who have become very comfortable with their lives among the human race. Therefore, when they discover that the Apocalypse is imminent, they resolve to join forces to prevent it.

Filming Wraps On David Tennant Drama “Des”

Filming has wrapped on David Tennant’s new ITV drama, Des. David Tennant plays one of the UK's most notorious serial killers, Dennis Nilsen, in the new three-part ITV drama. The drama is based on Killing For Company, the biography of Nilsen written by Brian Masters which includes conversations with the killer who would go by the name of 'Des'. David also acts as an executive producer on the series. 

The shoot began in November 2019 and David’s last day on set was on 23rd January. Scenes from the drama have already been included in the new ITV drama trailer, but the three part series is unlikely to hit screens until Autumn 2020.


Told through the prism of three men – Dennis Nilsen, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay played by Daniel Mays (Line of Duty, Temple) and biographer Brian Masters played by Jason Watkins (The Crown, The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies) – the series will explore the personal and professional consequences of coming into contact with a man like Nils…

David Tennant will be a guest on The Last Leg tonight alongside regular hosts Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker. Channel 4's live topical comedy show reviews the significant moments of the previous seven days and the most entertaining news stories of the week. 

The award-winning programme The Last Leg launched in 2012 to run alongside Channel 4's coverage of the London Paralympics. It returned as a series in its own right in 2013, but has still retained its focus on celebrating difference and disability humour - Hills and Brooker regularly poke fun at their own disabilities. It now has a reputation for fearlessly promoting social justice and aiming to deflate the egos of the rich and powerful. The second series of Spy In The Wild, narrated by David Tennant, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on Monday 11th May.

New David Tennant Series “Around The World In 80 Days” To Commence Filming On Location In Late February‬

As we reported back in June last year , David Tennant is to lead the cast of an exciting new adaptation of Around The World In 80 Days, taking on the iconic role of Phileas Fogg. 

Further information about the filming of the 8 part series has been released at France’s Showeb Séries 2020 festival. 
Filming will begin on 24th February on location in Budapest and South Africa with 4 of the episodes being shot in each location. It is expected to launch on screens in late 2020. 
The series is being adapted by writers including Ashley Pharoah (Life on Mars) and Caleb Ranson (Child of Mine).
Following an outrageous bet, Fogg and his valet, Passepartout, played by rising French actor Ibrahim Koma, take on the legendary journey of circumnavigating the globe in just 80 days, swiftly joined by aspiring journalist Abigail Fix, played by The Crown’s Leonie Benesch, who seizes the chance to report on this extraordinary story. The first look at David Tennant’s new drama Des is featured in a new ITV drama trailer. 
The three part series sees David play one of the UK's most notorious serial killers, Dennis Nilsen and is based on Killing For Company, the biography of Nilsen written by Brian Masters which includes conversations with the killer who would go by the name of 'Des'. Currently nearing the end of filming, the drama will hit screens in the UK later this year.

David Tennant Features In New Short Film “Heart To Heart”

David Tennant has lent his vocal talents to a brand new short film called Heart To Heart.

After waking up from yet another heart surgery, Liddy (Fern Deacon) starts hearing a voice telling her that she risks dying a virgin, and that's unacceptable...it's her heart Lump (David Tennant) talking. He's planning to help her get with hot nurse Kim (Siena Kelly) and learn to live a little.

The film stars Fern Deacon, Siena Kelly, David Tennant, Felicity Montagu, Jo Martin and is written by IR Bell-Webb and directed by Lilah Vandenburgh.
