CANADA: DuckTales Season 3 Resumes On Disney Channel Next Week

Season three of the Emmy Award-nominated DuckTales will resume in Canada next Sunday with a brand new episode, The Phantom And The Sorceress! The episode will premiere on Disney Channel at 11.30am ET on Sunday 4th October, with a repeat viewing at 6.30pm

IRELAND: Des Starring David Tennant Begins On Virgin Media One In October

ITV's gripping true crime drama Des, starring David Tennant as UK serial killer Dennis Nilsen, launches on Virgin Media One in Ireland next month. The three-part series begins on Monday 5th October from 10.00pm. The episode is followed at 11.00pm by the documentary The Real 'Des': The Dennis Nilsen Story, which is narrated by David Tennant. David Tennant stars as notorious serial killer Dennis Nilsen in the series based on Brian Masters’ book Killing For Company. In February 1983, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay is called to a house in Cranley Gardens, North London, where he discovers the drains clogged with rotting human flesh. But the extent of this grisly discovery only becomes apparent when the culprit returns from work and a search of his flat is undertaken. Filming Of Around The World In 80 Days To Resume In Romania In October

Production on David Tennant's next TV project Around The World In 80 days will resume in October, it has been announced. According to Variety, filming will start in Romania before moving on to South Africa. The shoot was underway in South Africa with just one episode completed when production halted in March  due to the escalating coronavirus crisis. In the eight-part series David stars as Phileus Fogg who, with his valet, Passepartout, played by rising French actor Ibrahim Koma, takes on the legendary journey of circumnavigating the globe in just 80 days following an outrageous bet. They are swiftly joined by aspiring journalist Abigail Fix, played by The Crown’s Leonie Benesch, who seizes the chance to report on this extraordinary story.Steve Barron (The Durrells) will be lead director with Charles Beeson (The Mentalist) also lined up to direct a number of episodes. UK: Drama Channel Continues Repeat Run Of David Tennant’s Doctor Who Era Today

Drama Channel in the UK continues airing David Tennant era Doctor Who episodes this afternoon. The re-runs begin from 1.00pm with three episodes airing each week. David joined the show in 2005 as the Tenth incarnation of the Time Lord and went on to achieve global success with the part. Over 4 years and 47 episodes David won critical acclaim, walking away from the show in January 2010 with an armful of accolades including National Television Awards and a BAFTA Cymru.
Fans too were won and his Doctor was voted the best ever by reader's of Doctor Who Magazine.
In November 2009 the episode The Waters Of Mars gave BBC America their biggest ever ratings.
And in the UK over 10 Million people tuned in on 1st January 2010 to see the demise of David's Doctor as he regenerated.

New Series Of Richard Wilson’s Radio Comedy Believe It! Premieres On Radio 4 This Morning

Richard Wilson returns to Radio 4 with the fifth series of Believe It! this morning.  Jon Canter’s comedic writing is as sharp as ever as he delves into themes such as celebrity, brand awareness and death. As usual Richard has many friends from whom he seeks advice. Expect visits from David Tennant, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Antony Sher, Peter Capaldi and Alexei Sayle - helped out by an excellent supporting cast. It’s a mockumentary and spoof autobiography rolled into one.
The first new episode “Brand” will air on BBC Radio 4 at 11.30am BST today - although David is not listed as appearing in this particular episode of the series.

ITV's true crime drama Des comes to New Zealand on 8th October when all three episodes drop on TVNZ On Demand. In the much acclaimed miniseries, David Tennant plays notorious UK serial killer Dennis Nilsen, known to his acquaintances and colleagues as Des.Des focuses on one of the most infamous criminal cases in UK history, Dennis Nilsen. Known as the ‘kindly killer’, Nilsen (David Tennant) was a local civil servant who spent five years murdering boys and young men he met on the streets of Soho from 1978 to 1983. He would meet and befriend these men before offering them food or lodgings for the evening back at his North London flat. His victims were often homeless or living off grid, having slipped through the cracks of 1980s society and were therefore welcoming of this stranger’s apparent generosity. When he was finally caught on 9 February 1983, Nilsen had murdered a total of fifteen men over a period of five years, making him Britain’s most prolific serial killer of the time. A…

David Tennant has scooped the Best Actor prize in the 2020 Scottish Comedy Awards for his role as Crowley in Good Omens. The awards were originally planned to be announced at a live ceremony in June, but this was postponed due to the coronavirus crisis. David saw off competition from Jack Docherty (Scot Squad), Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education) and Susan Riddle (The State Of It) to win his category.Good Omens, which co-stars Michael Sheen as Aziraphale, is an adaptation of the cult comic novel of the same name by Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Written and produced by Gaiman and directed by Douglas Mackinnon, the series follows the attempts by an angel and a demon to avert the oncoming Apocalypse. Des Tops 10 Million Views In The Week After Launch

The consolidated viewing figures are in for Des and reveal that more that 10 million people have watched the ITV crime drama  in the seven days since its launch last week.David Tennant, Daniel Mays and Jason Watkins starred in the three-episode series detailing the arrest and murder of Dennis Nilsen, one of the UK's most notorious serial killers. Written by Luke Neal and directed by Lewis Arnold, the drama is based on material from the book Killing for Company by Brian Masters, played by Jason Watkins in the series.The drama launched with 5.4 million viewers on Monday 14th September, making it ITV's most watched drama of the year. It has now been watched by 10.9 million viewers with the inclusion of repeat showings and catch up and streaming services. This makes it ITV's biggest drama launch since 2006. Des also broke the record for ITV Hub, bringing in its biggest audience to date of 1.7 million viewers. David Tennant's gripping true crime drama Des aired on ITV in the UK earlier in the month to almost universal acclaim and netting the channel its biggest drama ratings this year. Also starring Daniel Mays and Jason Watkins, the three part series documents the arrest and trial of Dennis Nilsen, one of the UK's most notorious serial killers. David Tennant has been voted the best ever Doctor in Doctor Who.A poll of more than 50,000 people, which was carried out by RadioTimes.com, saw him finish ahead of his nearest challenger Jodie Whittaker by just 95 votes.The pair each received 21% of votes, with Tennant selected by 10,518 people compared to Whittaker’s 10,423.Whittaker is currently starring as The Doctor and is the first woman to take on the role, while Tennant played the part in the famous sci-fi series between 2005 and 2010.Survey respondents were asked to choose between 13 Time Lords.Peter Capaldi came third in the poll with 8897 votes (18%).Matt Smith attracted 7637 votes (16%) placing him fourth, while Tom Baker was fifth with 3977 (8%).Peter Davidson, who played the Timelord in the 1980s, came bottom with just 351 votes (1%).Huw Fullerton, sci-fi and fantasy editor at RadioTimes.com, said: “Over a decade after he left the Tardis behind and after nearly 50,000 votes were cast, it’s clear David Tennant is still Doc…

AUSTRALIA: Staged ‘Cachu Hwch’ Premieres On ABC COMEDY Tonight

David Tennant's lockdown comedy series Staged premieres in Australia tonight at 8.30pm on ABC COMEDY. It will also be available to stream on ABC iView. 

The series stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen, playing fictional versions themselves, with the premise that the pair were due to star in a production of Six Characters in Search of an Author in the West End. The pandemic has put paid to that, but their director (Simon Evans - also playing himself) is determined not to let the opportunity pass him by. He knows how big a chance this is for him and turns his attention to cajoling his stars into rehearsing over the internet. All they need to do is read the first scene, but throughout the series they come up against a multitude of oppositional forces: distraction, boredom, home-schooling and their own egos.
