NEW INTERVIEW: David Tennant On Deadwater Fell “It will confound you, compel you and surprise you.”

Image
David Tennant has been talking about his new channel 4 Deadwater Fell and about his role as executive producer on the show.
The four-part series, which starts on Friday 10th January at 9pm, follows the impact of a terrible tragedy on a close community.  Filmed entirely on location in Scotland, Deadwater Fell is set in the small fictional town of Kirkdarroch. When a seemingly perfect and happy family is murdered by someone they know and trust, the small Scottish community they call home becomes riven with mistrust and suspicion as those closest to the family begin to question everything they thought they knew about their friends... Laying bare the fragility of trust and the corrosive nature of lies, the series demonstrates that even the closest of friends all have their secrets.  As much as it is an exploration of the anatomy of a terrible crime, Deadwater Fell is equally a forensic dissection of two relationships. David Tennant stars as Tom Kendrick, the local GP, a trusted, admired and …

VIDEO: David Tennant Denies Damaging The Good Omens Bentley

Image
One of the iconic relationships in the 1990 novel Good Omens is that between the demon Crowley and his beloved 1926 Bentley.

This year saw the streaming release of the six part adaptation of Good Omens starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen as Crowley and his angelic counterpart Aziraphale respectively. During filming of the BBC/Amazon Prime TV series the producers used replica cars, CGI and a genuine 1933 Bentley to portray Crowley's vehicle. While some of David Tennant's driving scenes took place in a set constructed from a Bentley's interior, other scenes required him to drive the original vintage car.

During an appearance alongside fellow Doctor Who star Matt Smith at Wales Comic Con Telford Takeover earlier this month, David was asked by panel host Dr. Rhys Jones to confirm Michael Sheen's allegation that he had broken the door of the classic car while attempting to drive it. See his response below:
