What We Did On Our Holiday , also starring Billy Connolly and Rosamund Pike, follows the misadventures of a family on a trip up to Scotland to celebrate a family birthday. As promised yesterday, celebrity photographer Andy Gotts MBE is making available for sale a limited edition poster of one of his new portraits of David Tennant.  The shot, taken last week, will be released in a limited run of only 250 copies. It will be printed on 20 x 16" Crystal Archive 249 gsm silver halide paper with each print individually numbered and signed by the photographer. The cost of each print will be £65 plus delivery. Today's Throwback Thursday post is a collection of photos taken of David Tennant on 7th October 2010 whilst he was on a day of radio promotions for his drama Single Father. David visited several stations that day to spread the word about the show which was due to premiere on BBC One.

David Tennant cruised through the quarter finals of the Radio Times TV Champion contest, beating a valiant Karen Gillan with 78.6% of the vote to her 21.4%. Award winning celebrity photographer Andy Gotts MBE has released a sneak peek of his new photo session with David Tennant. Andy, who is best known for his striking black and white portraits of actors, musicians and fashion models photographed David last week. From next Sunday night, ABC1 will be repeating the award-winning UK drama series Broadchurch  starring David Tennant, Olivia Colman and Arthur Darvill. The series follows the impact of the murder of a child on a small town on the English coast. Episode 1 will be shown on Sunday 3rd August at 10.20pm. Broadchurch ABC1 Sunday 3rd August, 10.20pm When the body of an 11-year-old boy is found on the picturesque beach in Broadchurch, local police officers DI Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and DS Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) are called to investigate. Broadchurch  was written by Chris Chibnall and was produced by Kudos and Imaginary Friends for ITV.  The series was originally shown in Australia in July and August last year. A second series is currently in production in the UK and is expected to air on ITV from early 2015. 

What We Did On Our Holiday , the new feature film from BBC Films, will be screened at Film-Messe Köln (Cologne Film Fair) next month. The bittersweet comedy starring David Tennant, Rosamund Pike and Billy Connolly will be displayed by German film distributors Tobis. Film-Messe Köln (5th - 7th August at Cinedom Köln) is a trade show where major German distributors exhibit trailers and exclusive material from their catalogues and have the opportunity to screen whole films to potential buyers from cinema chains. David Tennant has revealed that he can't wait to see Peter Capaldi's take on the Doctor in Doctor Who  as he is such a big fan of the actor.  Talking last Sunday at the TV Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills, he said of the new series, "I haven't seen any of it yet but everything about Peter Capaldi gets me terribly excited so I'm very much looking forward to it." On the producers' choice to cast his fellow Scot in the lead role he was certain that it must have been very easy for them.
