VIDEO: Gracepoint Case Files - Beth And Mark Solano

Fox TV have released video profiles of two of the main characters from their upcoming ten part event series Gracepoint. Beth and Mark Solano are the parents of ten year old Danny, whose shocking murder forms the heart of the drama.

Beth Solano is played by Virginia Kull. She is a devoted wife and mother to husband wife and children Danny and Chloe and is torn apart with grief when she learns of her son's murder. "She's fiercely loyal," Virginia says of Beth, "And I think that she would kill to protect her children."

Michael Peña plays Mark Solano, a family man and, as the local planner, well known and liked throughout the community. "He was kind of tough on [Danny] a little bit, and when a kid's gone you think, 'Man, I could have been a better dad'," he says.

Gracepoint, based on the award-winning UK series Broadchurch explores the impact of a child's murder on a sleepy Californian town. David Tennant and Anna Gunn play the police detectives leading the investigation, with Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver, Sarah-Jane Potts and Kevin Zegers also among the ensemble cast.

Gracepoint premieres on Fox on Thursday 2nd October at 9pm/8c. Details of a UK broadcast have yet to be confirmed.
