BBC First have confirmed that they will be screening David Tennant’s crime drama Deadwater Fell in Australia in 2020. No exact date of transmission has been revealed as yet, but it will join Call The Midwife, The Trial Of Christine Keeler, Silent Witness and Death In Paradise in the channel’s new line up of drama for the year ahead.
Deadwater Fell sees a seemingly perfect and happy family murdered by someone they know and trust and the small Scottish community they call home become riven with mistrust and suspicion as those closest to the family begin to question everything they thought they knew about their friends... Deadwater Fell examines in unflinching detail the nature of female friendship and the harmful, entrenched gender stereotypes and conformity that can lead to the most devasting consequences. Laying bare the fragility of trust and the corrosive nature of lies, the series demonstrates that even the closest of friends all have their secrets.
The four part series is currently screening in the UK on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4 and will be streaming on Acorn TV in the USA from April.
