VIDEO: David Tennant On The National Television Awards Celebrate 25 Years


Earlier this week David Tennant was amongst a host of household names who shared their memories of the National Television Awards in a celebratory show on ITV. As the long-running awards show reaches its 25th anniversary, Dame Julie Walters narrated a look back with help from past hosts Trevor McDonald and Dermot O'Leary and their successor David Walliams, who will be taking the reins of the 2020 ceremony. 

In the past, David has picked up four National Television Awards for Doctor Who and in 2015 he was presented with the Special Recognition Award and he reminisced about announcing his departure from the show during his 2008 acceptance speech,
