Screening Starring David & Georgia Tennant Makes Official Selection In Discover Film Awards

The 2020 short Screening, written and directed by Christian Brassington, has been accepted into the Official Selection for the Discover Film Awards 2021. The satirical film stars David Tennant, Georgia Tennant, Joanna Horton and Stephen Mangan.

Filmed via remote technology during the UK's first lockdown last year, Screening takes us back to 2016, as a scientific advisor gets hit by the full farce of the government she’s trying to help. The all-star cast brilliantly bring to life the story of a disease expert who is wading through the treacle of government bureaucracy. Can she persuade the powers-that-be that we actually do need experts? And that ignoring the science can have deadly, global consequences...

The Discover Film Awards run from 1st to 3rd October with screenings at the Prince Charles Cinema in London's West End. The festival also hosts cinema screenings, live panel discussions, networking events and script-pitching round tables. The awards ceremony will take place on the evening of 3rd October at Proud Embankment, London. Tickets are on sale via the Discover Film website
