Where And When You Can Watch David Tennant In Around The World In 80 Days


The brand new adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic novel, Around the World in 80 Days, starring David Tennant, Ibrahim Koma and Leonie Benesch as the intrepid threesome Phileas Fogg, Passepartout and Abigail ‘Fix’ Fortescue premiered in Belgium last night and will continue to premiere across the world over the next few weeks. 

David Tennant stars as Phileas Fogg, a 19th Century gentleman and adventurer who, with his valet, Passepartout, played by rising French actor Ibrahim Koma, takes on the legendary journey of circumnavigating the globe in just 80 days following an outrageous bet. They are swiftly joined by aspiring journalist Abigail Fix, played by The Crown’s Leonie Benesch, who seizes the chance to report on this extraordinary story. Other cast members include Ty Tennant, Jason Watkins, Peter Sullivan, Lindsay Duncan, Dolly Wells, Richard Wilson, Faical Elkihel, Anthony Flanagan, Gary Beadle and Giovanni Scifoni.

UK - The series will premiere with a double bill of episodes from 5.50pm on BBC One on Boxing Day, Sunday 26th December and will continue to air on Sundays. The whole box set will then drop on BBC iPlayer in the new year.

USA - The series will premiere on Masterpiece on PBS on Sunday 2nd January at 8/7c. New episodes will premiere at the same time weekly.

Germany - The whole series will be available to stream on ZDFmediathek on Saturday 11th December from 10am.  The first four episodes of the series will premiere on TV on Tuesday 21st December on ZDK from 8.15pm.  The fifth and sixth episodes will premiere on TV on Wednesday 22nd December on ZDK from 10.15pm. And the final two episodes of the series will air on Thursday 23rd December on ZDK from 10.15pm. 

France - The first three episodes of the series will premiere on TV on France2 on Monday 20th December from 09.05pm. All episodes will be avaialable to watch on the streaming platform France.TV on the same day with a preview of the first episode available on the service from 17th December. 

Belgium - The series continues to air two episodes a week from Sunday 12th December on La Une. Episodes will air from 8.55pm.

It will also be seen on Italy’s RAI and via Seven West Media in Australia, with broadcast dates to be confirmed.
