The second series of Staged has been nominated in the awards for the TV blog I Talk Telly.
David Tennant and Michael Sheen are also nominated for Best Comedy Partnership for the show.
The award-winning UK lockdown comedy Staged was written and directed by Simon Evans, who co-stars alongside David and Michael with Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, Nina Sosanya and Lucy Eaton. Launched during the UK’s lockdown in 2020, the series was filmed using video conferencing technology and follows David and Michael as fictionalised versions of themselves as they try to rehearse a play remotely. The second series followed in early 2021, adding Ben Schwartz and Whoopi Goldberg to the cast, along with a host of surprise guests.
