Staged Wins At The Rockie Awards

David Tennant’s lockdown comedy Staged has won the award for Scripted: Short Fiction Program in the Rockie Awards.

The 42nd Rockie Awards are the awards of the prestigious Banff World Media Festival competition which recognizes excellence in global television and digital content. Entries from more than 40 countries compete, and winners are selected by an international industry jury of 150+ senior entertainment and media professionals.

The BBC's hit series Staged stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen as exaggerated versions of themselves, two frustrated actors attempting to rehearse a play over Zoom while the country is in lockdown. Co-starring their real-life partners Georgia Tennant and Anna Lundberg, Staged was written and directed by Simon Evans, who also joins the cast with Lucy Eaton, Nina Sosanya and some amazing guest stars.
