David Tennant, Des, Staged And There She Goes Nominated In TV Choice Awards

The voting is now open for the first stage of the 25th annual TV Choice awards, due to be presented in September. The TV Choice Awards are the only major TV awards entirely decided by audience votes, with more than 2 million readers deciding which programmes and stars will be honoured as the best of the year.

David Tennant has been nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of the notorious Scottish serial killer Dennis Nilsen in the hugely successful and critically acclaimed ITV drama, Des.

The three part drama Des is itself up for Best Drama and two of David’s comedies are also nominated in the Best Comedy category with Staged, which saw him team up with Michael Sheen to parody themselves during lockdown and There She Goes, which follows the life of a learning disabled child and her family both vying for the award.

Voting on the longlist will remain open until midnight BST on 15th June.
