Following the conclusion of the Disney animated show DuckTales, the series cast have reprised their voice roles for ‘This Duckburg Life,’ an original scripted podcast for kids and families. A new episode of the podcast premiered today on Disney XD YouTube, DisneyNOW and Disney XD VOD or you can subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
This Duckburg Life sees Huey Duck (Danny Pudi) hosting a show for Duckburg Public Radio, and the seven-part series will be packed with familiar characters and riveting stories from the DuckTales world. Joining Pudi to reprise their voice roles in This Duckburg Life will be David Tennant (Scrooge McDuck), Ben Schwartz (Dewey), Bobby Moynihan (Louie), Kate Micucci (Webby Vanderquack), Beck Bennett (Launchpad McQuack), Toks Olagundoye (Mrs. Beakley), Jim Rash (Gyro Gearloose), Josh Brener (Mark Beaks), Margo Martindale (Ma Beagle) and Tony Anselmo (Donald Duck), with others yet to be announced.
The second episode, Narratron 3000, focuses on Gyro Gearloose Duckburg’s most brilliant inventor, and today he’s showing off his latest invention—a mind-reading helmet called the Narratron 3000, which Gyro tests out on Mrs. Beakley, Launchpad, Glomgold, and Scrooge. But when Huey volunteers to try on the helmet himself, the Narratron turns sentient and takes over his body!
A long lost Junior Woodchuck journal leads the Duck family on a hunt for the world’s greatest lost artifacts. But F.O.W.L., a secret organization from Scrooge’s past, has stepped out of the shadows to stop them at any cost. The family will have to get smarter, tougher, and sharper to confront F.O.W.L. and save the world!
