New International Deals Struck For Staged



Distribution company Rainmaker Content has announced a fresh batch of new deals struck with international broadcasters for Season 1 and 2 of Staged. The award winning comedy created by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen as exaggerated versions of themselves, two frustrated actors struggling with the UK's coronavirus lockdown. 

As previously announced, streaming services Hulu in the USA, Huanxi in China and ABC iview in Australia have renewed the series for Season 2, while Canal+ France will begin showing both seasons starting Monday 15th March. The show will also be added to Britbox in the UK later this month.

New acquisitions for both Season 1 and 2 include DirecTV Latin America, BBC UKTV in New Zealand, HOT in Israel, Canal+ in Poland and Russian Report.

Staged co-stars Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg. Lucy Eaton, Nina Sosanya, Ben Schwartz and Simon Evans himself, with a host of surprise guest stars. The show was filmed using video-conferencing technology to stay within COVID-19 restrictions.
