The multi-award winning UK series Staged arrives in France tonight as
Season 1 airs in its entirety on Canal+ The innovative comedy starring David
Tennant and Michael Sheen was a welcome bit of comic relief when it premiered
on BBC One last June during the first
COVID-19 lockdown, and it made a welcome return for a second season in January.
Created by Simon Evans and Phin Glynn and written by Evans, Staged
sees Good Omens co-stars David and Michael playing exaggerated versions of
themselves, a pair of bickering actors confined to their homes, attempting to
rehearse a play over Zoom. However, their rivalries, fragile egos and family
distractions threaten to derail the whole process. The series also stars
Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, Nina Sosanya, Lucy Eaton and Simon Evans and
boasts a stream of high-profile stars making cameo appearances.
Watch Staged Season 1 on Canal+ tonight from 23h10. Season 2
will air next week on Monday 22nd March.
