Rooster Teeth’s hit futuristic series gen:LOCK will be added to HBO Max streaming service in the USA from next Tuesday, 9th February.
Starring Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Black Panther), the half-hour animated dystopian anime is set fifty years in the future where an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world. A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha - giant armoured robots - but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world. David Tennant co-stars in the show in two roles, as Dr. Rufus Weller, the creator of gen:LOCK technology, and as the android Caliban. The cast also includes Maisie Williams, Dakota Fanning, Kōichi Yamadera, Golshifteh Farahani and Asia Kate Dillon. gen:LOCK is created by Gray G. Haddock, head of Rooster Teeth Animation, and is co-produced by Jordan through his own company Outlier Society Productions.
Season 2 of gen:LOCK, which was announced in 2019, will
premiere on HBO Max and will be available on Rooster Teeth for FIRST members
after 90 days. The release date for Season 2 has not yet been announced.
