Vote For Staged & There She Goes In The Comedy.co.uk Awards 2020

The first round of voting is now open in the Comedy.co.uk Awards 2020, giving you a chance to send some of David Tennant's shows from last year through to the short list. 

Innovative lockdown comedy Staged, filmed over Zoom and starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen as exaggerated versions of themselves is in the Best New TV Sitcom category. Meanwhile, There She Goes, which starred David as the father of a girl with a severe learning disability, is listed in the Best TV Comedy Drama section. 

Also nominated for Best Radio Sitcom is the Richard Wilson-led spoof radio biography Believe It! in which David guested. Finally, the Best TV Entertainment Show category includes Red Dwarf: The First Three Million Years, narrated by David. 

The annual Comedy.co.uk Awards, now in their 15th year, are decided entirely by a public vote. Tens of thousands of comedy fans vote for their favourites from among the hundreds of different comedies were broadcast on TV and radio in the UK each year. This year, the initial longlist vote runs until the end of Sunday 10th January. The shortlists of six shows will be announced on Monday 11th January where voters decide not only who should win in each category but also which of the shortlisted options should be named as Comedy Of The Year.
