Staged
The new series follows David Tennant and Michael Sheen as they attempt to navigate their ‘new normal’ at home with their increasingly exasperated families whilst simultaneously trying to tackle the world of ‘virtual Hollywood’ and their ever more fragile egos.
Also returning for the new series are Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg and Lucy Eaton alongside Nina Sosanya and Simon Evans with new addition to the regular cast Primetime Emmy-winner Ben Schwartz, playing the assistant to Michael and David’s American agent.
The first episode, Saddle Up Sheen, premieres on Monday 4th January at 9.45pm on BBC One and sees Michael and David pained to discover that someone they respect is not a fan of their work. David’s plans to go to work and Michael’s plans to visit a friend abroad are both scuppered by last-minute travel rule changes, and some news regarding a work opportunity for the pair turns sour.

David Tenant stars in this BBC Radio adaptation of John Osborne's provocative 1956 play about the original 'angry young man', Jimmy Porter. John Osborne's 'kitchen sink' drama Look Back in Anger sparked a generation of 'angry young men' and led to the resurgence of realism in theatre. Reprising his stage role from 2005, David Tennant stars in this radio adaptation, which was produced to commemorate the play's 60th anniversary. Look Back in Anger focuses on the relationship between an educated but disaffected working-class young man, Jimmy Porter, and his equally intelligent but dispassionate wife, Alison, who comes from an upper-middle class military family. Having pushed back against her family so they could be together, Jimmy is now disillusioned by the class divide between them and

The British Book Awards (AKA 'The Nibbies') took place last night, and one of David Tennant's projects was a winner in the audiobook section. David's reading of the Cressida Cowell bestseller The Wizards Of Once: Never And Forever took the top prize in the Book Of The Year - Audiobook: Fiction section. The latest instalment in the new book series from the creator of the How To Train Your Dragon saga reunites the author with her favourite narrator, with the novel continuing the adventures of young wizard Xar and the warrior Wish. Filled with songs and poetry, it's the perfect foil for David Tennant to flourish with unique accents and meta-moments to boot: “As David Tennant I am the narrator who is narrating Cressida Cowell’s narration of the real narrator behind this story.” The title faced some stiff competition from the likes of Lesley Manville's reading of the Richard Osman murder mystery The Man Who Died Twice and Andy Serkis's narration of Tolkien's
