Information is now available for the first episodes in the new series of Staged, which returns to BBC One in the UK next month. David Tennant and Michael Sheen reprise their award-winning partnership as exaggerated versions of themselves, a pair of actors whose work plans have been stalled by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and who now face a multitude of oppositional forces: distraction, boredom, home-schooling and their own fragile egos. Series one, which launched in June to great acclaim, also starred Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, Nina Sosanya, Lucy Eaton and writer-director Simon Evans. The eight-episode second series introduces Ben Schwartz as David and Michael's American agent along with some exciting surprise guest stars.
The new series launches on Monday 4th January at 9.45pm GMT, with new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Episodes announced so far are:

someone they respect is not a fan of their work.
