David Tennant is set to guest star in a celebration of the career of the country’s most famous grumpy pensioner, Richard Wilson on BBC Scotland later this month.
Better known as playing Victor Meldrew in One Foot in the Grave, Richard Wilson’s rise to becoming one of our most-loved comedy performers nearly didn’t happen. He talks about his humble beginnings as a lab technician from Greenock to becoming one of the most recognisable faces in Britain, and how he nearly turned down the role of a lifetime. Richard is also one of theatre’s most respected directors and a relentless supporter of new writing talent.
Featuring a special interview with Richard and other key people from his enduring career, including David Tennant and Arabella Weir, The Moments That Made.. Richard Wilson airs on a BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday 23rd December at 10pm.
