VIDEO: Hugh Bonneville Joins DuckTales As Scrooge's Feud With Santa Threatens Christmas

The reason behind Scrooge McDuck's hatred of Santa Claus will be revealed in this year's DuckTales Christmas episode, How Santa Stole Christmas! The festive episode stars David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck and guest stars Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, W1A) as Santa, a huge polar bear with a natty moustache.

How Santa Stole Christmas! premieres on Monday 30th November at 7pm ET/PT on Disney XD in the USA and on Sunday 13th December at 11.30am ET on Disney Channel in Canada.

Series co-executive producer and story editor Frank Angones exclusively told EW, "Not only did Scrooge know Santa, not only do they have beef, they were business partners and he invented Christmas! It gets to the legacy of Scrooge. He’s let his family back into his life, he’s let adventure back into his life, but there’s still this one guy who crossed him. It’s the only time he’s ever been double-crossed over a business deal. But then I think, it being Christmas, it was important to portray him as a friend, which is not something Scrooge has many of. Who’s his best friend? Oh, the maid who is also a spy who he used to adventure with? This was a partnership and a friendship, the last time he considered someone an equal. We thought this was an important story to tell since Christmas is a time of reconciliation."

DuckTales also stars Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as mischievous triplets Huey, Dewey and Louie, Kate Micucci as their fearless friend Webby, Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck, Toks Olagundoye as faithful housekeeper Mrs Beakley and Beck Bennett as inept pilot Launchpad McQuack.
