UK: David Tennant Narrates A New Episode Of The Children's Hospital On BBC Scotland And BBC iPlayer Tonight


The new series of The Children's Hospital, narrated by David Tennant, continues on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer tonight from 8pm. The popular series gives a behind-the-scenes look at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, meeting the young patients and their families and showcasing the incredible dedication from the extraordinary NHS staff.

The eight-part series is an intimate and sensitive account of day-to-day hospital life, unveiling the effort that goes into giving thousands of young patients in the North East of Scotland the best possible care and the camaraderie of the RACH’s dedicated hospital team.

In tonight's episode four-year-old Summer has a condition that has caused her feet to twist inwards. Orthopaedic surgeon Miss Mills tackles the gruelling operation to straighten her leg bones in the hope of getting her up and walking.

Paediatric surgeon Miss Clarke also has her work cut out as she attempts keyhole surgery on a tiny newborn baby. Locum paediatric oncologist Dr Herd faces one of the toughest days of her career as she interviews for a permanent post at the hospital.

And baby Cameron has a heartwarming reaction to hearing his mum’s voice for the first time after having his first hearing aids fitted.
