Awards Win For Staged As Dan Gage Picks Up Editing Prize

Congratulations to Staged editor Dan Gage who has won the Editing - Entertainment and Comedy in the RTS Craft & Design Awards for his work on the critically acclaimed BBC comedy. The winners were announced via an online celebration hosted by radio broadcaster, actor and spoken word artist Mim Shaikh, with a special message from RTS Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales.

The jury felt that Dan's work showed a "...witty, joyous and clever use of technology, this pushed the boundaries of what great editing can achieve."

Staged is the brainchild of writer and director Simon Evans who conceived the comedy as a means to work around the restrictions imposed on film and TV production in the first UK lockdown. David Tennant and Michael Sheen star as exaggerated versions of themselves alongside Georgia Tennant, Anna Lundberg, Nina Sosanya, Simon Evans and Lucy Eaton. Premiering on BBC One in June, the series has since moved to Netflix in the UK, Hulu in the USA and iView in Australia.

Dan is currently hard at work editing the second series of Staged, due to air on BBC One early in 2021.
