UK: David Tennant Narrates A New Episode Of The Children's Hospital On BBC Scotland Tonight

The new series of The Children's Hospital, narrated by David Tennant, continues on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer tonight from 8pm. The popular series gives a behind-the-scenes look at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, meeting the young patients and their families and showcasing the incredible dedication from the extraordinary NHS staff.

The eight-part series is an intimate and sensitive account of day-to-day hospital life, unveiling the effort that goes into giving thousands of young patients in the North East of Scotland the best possible care and the camaraderie of the RACH’s dedicated hospital team.

In episode 2, fourteen-year-old Jason is in excruciating pain after crashing his quad bike into a barbed-wire fence. The emergency department team have to act swiftly as they suspect he has broken his femur, the longest and strongest bone in the body.

Meanwhile, a dangerous condition leaves baby Helena struggling to breathe while sleeping. Doctor Osmon thinks he has found the solution to keep her airway open, but Helena is resisting the attempts to help her.

Painting a hospital is like painting the Forth Bridge - it’s never-ending. Decorating duo Jim and Murray show what it takes to keep the hospital in top condition all year round.
