GERMANY: David Tennant Series Des Selected For Seriencamp's Official Competition


ITV's acclaimed true-crime drama Des has been selected for the Seriencamp Festival 2020 official competition. David Tennant stars as notorious UK serial killer Dennis Nilsen in the three part series about a nondescript  civil servant who murdered up to 15 young men and boys in London between 1978 and 1983. The series also stars Jason Watkins as Nilsen's biographer Brian Masters and Daniel May as Peter Jay, the police detective who fought for justice for Nilsen's victims. 

The German TV festival Seriencamp, which made its debut in 2015, runs every autumn and showcases German and international shows to over 6000 visitors annually. This year the festival will be taking place virtually between November 5th - 22nd and German subscribers can watch any of the featured series for free via the festival VOD platform. 

The eight series in the festival competition are:

  • Des - UK 
  • The Pack - Chile 
  • Moah - France 
  • Trickster - Canada 
  • Albatros - Belgium 
  • The Chef - Israel
