Drama Channel in the UK continues airing David Tennant era Doctor Who episodes this afternoon. The re-runs begin from 1.00pm with three episodes airing each week.
David joined the show in 2005 as the Tenth incarnation of the Time Lord and went on to achieve global success with the part. Over 4 years and 47 episodes David won critical acclaim, walking away from the show in January 2010 with an armful of accolades including National Television Awards and a BAFTA Cymru.
Fans too were won and his Doctor was voted the best ever by reader's of Doctor Who Magazine.
In November 2009 the episode The Waters Of Mars gave BBC America their biggest ever ratings.
And in the UK over 10 Million people tuned in on 1st January 2010 to see the demise of David's Doctor as he regenerated.
1pm The Lazarus Experiment
Martha returns home to her family to complete her studies and discovers that her sister, Tish, has been selected to organise a meeting where a 76-year-old scientist, Dr Lazarus, is developing his age-defying Genetic Manipulation Device. It soon becomes clear that Dr Lazarus isn't all he seems and, unbeknown to the Doctor, the professor's paymaster has just set the wheels of a deadly trap in motion. But, when lights in the sky herald the arrival of something strange and terrible, Smith's maid, Martha, has to convince him that he alone can save the world.
