French TV channel TF1 has just signed a deal with the Endemol Shine Group to broadcast the UK psychological drama, Deadwater Fell, it has been announced.
Starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo, the four-part series explores the events surrounding a tragic event in a small Scottish village. David plays Tom Kendrick, a GP, whose wife and children die in a ferocious fire in their house where he was the only survivor. As investigations continue, it emerges that the fire was not an accident and Tom is the first to fall under suspicion in the hunt for the murderer. Anna Madeley and Matthew McNulty also star.
The series was written by Daisy Coulam who also acts as
executive producer alongside Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, Karen Wilson and David
Tennant. Deadwater Fell is produced by Caroline Levy for Kudos and directed by Lynsey Miller. It originally
aired on Channel 4 in the UK from January 2020.
