UK: Drama Channel Starts Repeat Run Of David Tennant’s Doctor Who Era Today


Drama Channel in the UK will start airing modern era Doctor Who episodes starting with David Tennant's era this afternoon. The re-runs begin from 1.00pm with three episodes airing each week.


David joined the show in 2005 as the Tenth incarnation of the Time Lord and went on to achieve global success with the part.
Over 4 years and 47 episodes David won critical acclaim, walking away from the show in January 2010 with an armfull of accolades including National Television Awards and a BAFTA Cymru.
Fans too were won and his Doctor was voted the best ever by reader's of Doctor Who Magazine.
In November 2009 the episode The Waters Of Mars gave BBC America their biggest ever ratings.

And in the UK over 10 Million people tuned in on 1st January 2010 to see the demise of David's Doctor as he regenerated.

Today’s episodes are: 

1pm New Earth
The Doctor & Rose board the Tardis for new adventures. When they visit mankind's new home, far into the future, they find gruesome secrets hidden inside a luxury hospital. Cassandra, an enemy though long since dead, is out for revenge.

2pm Tooth And Claw
The Doctor and Rose meet Queen Victoria whilst she is visiting Scotland in 1879. Unbeknown to the Queen, a band of Warrior Monks take over Torchwood Estate and make plans to gain control of the British Empire.


3pm School Reunion 
The Doctor investigates a London school which is haunted by bat-like creatures.The Doctor finds his old friend already working undercover and both have old scores to settle. Rose discovers the true legacy of being a Time Lord's companion.
