AUDIO: David Tennant Talks To Zoe Ball About Shakespeare And The RSC's #ShareYourShakespeare Campaign


David Tennant talked all things Shakespeare this morning as he guested on Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show.
David joined Zoe via a phone call on what would be William Shakespeare's birthday to give a masterclass on The Bard, and to set listeners a Shakespearean challenge with The RSC's new #ShareYourShakespeare campaign! He also chatted about his experiences of playing Hamlet and starring in many Shakespearean roles across his career. 


David is one of the most celebrated Shakespearean actors of his generation.
He joined the RSC in in 1996 and has since taken the lead role in 'Romeo and Juliet', played Touchstone in 'As You Like It' and Antipholus of Syracuse in 'Comedy of Errors'.
His performance as Hamlet for the RSC, directed by Greg Doran in 2008, was described by The Guardian as “theatrical history in the making” and “the best and most intelligent Hamlet of recent times.
Following a TV adaptation of 'Hamlet' for BBC Two in 2008, David’s subsequent return to the RSC as Richard II enjoyed a sell-out run at the Barbican and is currently touring to New York.
