Filming For David Tennant Thriller “Quicksand” Now Due To Start In 2020

There’s an update to news about filming for Quicksand, the thriller with David Tennant and Emily Watson attached as leads. Co-starring Toby Kebbell and directed by Mark Brozel, backstage.com report that casting director Elaine Grainger is now on board.
Production which was expected to begin this spring is now due to start at some point in 2020 with the shoot taking place on location in Crete.
The film’s name was changed to Midday Sun earlier in the year, but now appears to be going under the original moniker of Quicksand once more.

The plot focuses on a British couple, Dan (Tennant) and Sarah (Watson), living out their dream in the Mediterranean. But their paradise comes to an abrupt end when their visiting son is murdered by a local youth. The grief stricken Dan is offered a chance at revenge by a dangerous stranger (Kebbell) who won’t take no for an answer, but the price of revenge is one more murder.
