Channel 4 Shows First Images Of New David Tennant Drama Deadwater Fell



Channel 4 has revealed a pair of first-look images from their upcoming drama Deadwater Fell. The show stars David Tennant and Cush Jumbo and is due to premiere in early 2020.




The gripping four-part series Deadwater Fell is set in the small fictional town of Kirkdarroch and focuses on the aftermath of a tragedy. When a seemingly perfect and happy family is murdered by someone they know and trust, the small Scottish community they call home becomes riven with mistrust and suspicion as those closest to the family begin to question everything they thought they knew about their friends.

Deadwater Fell was created by Grantchester writer Daisy Coulam and is produced by Kudos. David Tennant stars as trusted and respected GP Tom, who lives with wife Kate, a local primary school teacher played by Anna Madeley, and the couple's three daughters. But tragedy is round the corner for the seemingly perfect family when Kate and the children are found dead after a fire at their home which Tom survives. However, it emerges that Tom's family were dead before the fire started and he falls under the finger of suspicion.to them

Cush Jumbo plays Jess, Kate's friend, whose marriage to police sergeant Steve, played by Matthew McNulty, is already under strain as they struggle to have a child. The news of the death of Kate and the children is devastating to them and Jess becomes determined to uncover what really happened that night. 

The executive producers are Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, Karen Wilson, David Tennant and Daisy Coulam. Caroline Levy is the series producer, with Lynsey Miller the director. 

Deadwater Fell was filmed on location in Scotland in summer 2019
