David Tennant narrates a brand new documentary for BBC Scotland which goes behind the scenes of The Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and takes a look at the lives of the young patients and the staff who care for them. The heart warming eight part series, The Children’s Hospital, continues this evening on BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer at 8pm.
In tonight’s episode Orthopaedic surgeons Mr Dougall and Miss Mills team up to perform a demanding hip operation on a four-year-old boy whose hip joint keeps slipping out of its socket. Meanwhile, audiologists Vanessa and Gordon test a new hearing aid on Hannah, who has a rare genetic condition which affects her hearing, and six-year-old Olivia comes to the end of life-changing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
