David Tennant To Speak At March4Women In London Today


David Tennant will be one of the inspirational speakers at the March4Women International Women's Day event in London at Westminster Central Hall later today.

The family focused uplifting afternoon of speeches, entertainment, solidarity and action will also include speeches from singer Annie Lennox and writer and women's rights activist Helen Pankhurst and gender equality champions who have challenged the law to change the world: lawyer and women's rights activist, Shola Mos-Shogbamimu; FGM campaigner, Leyla Hussein, Gina Martin, the activist who made upskirting illegal; and Lady Brenda Hale, the first woman President of the UK Supreme Court.

Musical performances will come from Beverley Knight, Bond Quartet, Urban Voices Collective and David Arnold. 

March4Women aims to celebrate the progress made towards gender equality and take forward the global fight for gender equality by asking participants to join in calling for a worldwide treaty to protect women everywhere from violence and harassment in the workplace.
