First Look: David Tennant's Scrooge McDuck Takes To Time Travel In DuckTales Christmas Special

Disney Channel has unveiled a first look at the upcoming DuckTales Christmas special, with a time-travelling element that is sure to excite fans of David Tennant's tenure in Doctor Who. Starring David Tennant as Duckburg's richest tycoon, Scrooge McDuck, the episode - Last Christmas! - will premiere in the USA on Saturday 1st December at 7.30am ET/PT as part of ABC and Disney's 25 Days Of Christmas event.

In a nod to Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Scrooge avoids the pressures of the holidays by travelling back in time with a trio of fun-loving ghosts to crash history’s greatest Christmas parties instead. Meanwhile, time-lost Dewey teams up with young Donald Duck to find his mom on Christmas. Jack McBrayer (30 Rock) guest stars as fun-loving ghost Past.

Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett and Tony Anselmo, Disney's reboot of the classic animated series DuckTales reunites Scrooge with his nephew Donald Duck, grandnephews and epic past. The family of ducks dive into a life more exciting than they could have ever imagined. and the triplets along with Mrs. Beakley’s granddaughter, Webby, learn of long-kept family secrets from Scrooge’s epic past, sending the family on daring escapades around the world!
