USA: Win Camping Premiere Tickets & Attend Advance Screenings With HBO & REI Co-op

To promote the premiere of their new comedy series Camping on October 14th, HBO in the USA have teamed up with outdoor retailers REI Co-op to launch a nationwide Instagram competition. David Tennant and Jennifer Garner star in the limited series which centres on a nightmarish weekend in the wilderness. 

HBO and REI are inviting entrants to submit an Instagram video (60 seconds or less) or their best camping hack with the tags #CampingHBOContest and @HBO before 11.59pm ET on September 17th 2018. Series writers and executive producers Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner will select the prize winners:

The Grand Prize Roundtrip air transportation for two to the series’ premiere in LA on October 10th. This includes two nights deluxe hotel accommodations, roundtrip car service from airport to hotel, roundtrip car service from hotel to premiere. The winner also gets a $300 REI Gift Card, REI Camping Swag (REI Co-op Base Camp 4 Tent, camp blanket, fanny pack) and the winning video to be played at all REI Co-op regional screening events.

First Prize Roundtrip air transportation for two to one regional screening of choice (see below). This includes two nights deluxe hotel accommodations, roundtrip car service from airport to hotel, roundtrip car service from hotel to regional CAMPING premiere. The winner also gets a $200 REI Gift Card, REI Camping Swag (REI Co-op Base Camp 4 Tent, camp blanket, fanny pack) and the winning video to be played at all REI Co-op regional screening events.

Second Prize A $100 REI gift card, REI camping swag (REI Co-op Base Camp 4 Tent, camp blanket, fanny pack) and video played at all REI Co-op regional screening events.

The competition is open only to residents of the United States of America aged 21 and above.

REI Co-op will also be holding advance screenings of Camping in three of their flagship stores where there will be Camping themed treats and the chance to learn new camping tips and check out the latest camping gear. The screenings are:

• October 8th - Seattle
• October 12th - Denver
• October 16th - Washington, D.C.

Camping follows a group of old friends as they arrive at the underwhelming Brown Bear Lake campsite to celebrate a landmark birthday, sparking heightened emotions, latent tensions (sexual and otherwise) and memories they’d rather forget. Other series regulars include Juliette Lewis, Arturo Del Puerto, Ione Skye, Janicza Bravo, Bridget Everett and Brett Gelman. 

Camping debuts on HBO Sunday, October 14th at 10pm ET/ PT and will be available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms.
