A new streaming service dubbed a Netflix for arts lovers has just launched and includes the 2013 recording of David Tennant's award-winning performance in Richard II. Marquee has arrived in the UK, USA and Canada and promises to bring culture lovers access to arts content from across the world including theatre, opera, dance, music and documentaries. The founders hope to extend the reach of the service to other countries.
Other titles available include the Bolshoi Ballet's Sleeping Beauty and The Globe Theatre's 2009 productions of As You Like It and Romeo and Juliet.
The service is available as an app on iOS or Android, as well as online and through Apple TV, Amazon Fire and smart TVs, at a cost of £8.99/$8.99 a month. A free 14 day trial is also available.

David Tennant originally performed in The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard II between 2013-14 in Stratford-upon-Avon and London. The play was filmed in November 2013 at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon and released by Marquee collaborators Opus Arte.
