VIDEO: West Wing's Allison Janney Joins David Tennant In New DuckTales Episode

David Tennant, a long time fan of the multi-award winning political drama The West Wing, is set to share scenes with one of the show's stars in an upcoming episode of Disney's DuckTales next weekend. Academy and Emmy Award-winner Allison Janney, who played C.J. Cregg in The West Wing, will be making her US debut in DuckTales in the role of Goldie O'Gilt opposite David as Scrooge McDuck.

In the new episode, The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains, Scrooge reteams with his conniving ex-partner and old flame, Goldie O' Gilt, to find a long-lost golden lagoon, but his rival Glomgold has other plans.

Goldie was originally introduced into the world of DuckTales in the original comics by Carl Barks during the 1950s, revealing that she was a figure from his past when he originally amassed his fortune as a gold prospector. Francisco Angones, co-producer of the rebooted TV series says of her, "She’s equally adventurous, every bit Scrooge’s equal, and he hates and loves that. They have this amazingly contentious relationship that’s been going on ages and ages, spanning back to the Gold Rush days."
