The Wizards Of Once Read By David Tennant Honoured In 2018 ALA Awards

The Association for Library Service For Children, a division of the American Library Association, have honoured David Tennant's latest audiobook project, The Wizards Of Once during their annual awards presentation. The children's novel was written by Cressida Cowell, the creator of the hugely popular How To Train Your Dragon saga.

The Wizards Of Once was one of the 2018 Odyssey Honor Audiobooks, rubbing shoulders with The Book Of Dust by Phillip Pullman, narrated by Michael Sheen, A Boy Called Christmas by Matt Haig, narrated by Stephen Fry, Long Way Down, written and narrated by Jason Reynolds, and Trombone Shorty by Troy Andrews, narrated by Dion Graham. The annual Odyssey Award is given to the producer of the best audiobook produced for children and/or young adults, available in English in the United States. This year's category winner was The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, narrated by Bahni Turpin.

The honours were given out earlier today at the 2018 ALSC Awards Presentation during the ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans.

David Tennant will also be the reader of Twice Magic, the sequel to The Wizards Of Once, due to be released later this year.
