Disney's DuckTales Starring David Tennant Nominated For Daytime Emmy



Disney XD's hit animated revival DuckTales was among the nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards 2018. The shortlist for the 45th annual awards was revealed today by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences via the CBS show The Talk. 

The premiere episode of DuckTales, the hour long special Woo-oo! has been nominated in the category Outstanding Special Class Animated Program. Other nominees in the category are All Hail King Julien: Exiled (Netflix), Octonauts: Operation Deep Freeze (Disney Junior), Puss In Book: Trapped In An Epic Tale (Netflix) and A Storybots Christmas (Netflix). 

Launched last year on Disney XD, Disney's DuckTales is a reboot of the much loved 1980s series and stars David Tennant as the swashbuckling billionnaire Scrooge McDuck. The series also features the voice talents of Danny Pudi as Huey, Ben Schwartz as Dewey, Bobby Moynihan as Louie, Kate Micucci as Webby, Beck Bennett as Launchpad and Toks Olagundoye as Mrs Beakley.

The winners will be announced at a untelevised ceremony held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in California on Sunday 29th April, hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood.
