The wait is almost over for UK fans: Series One of the animated series DuckTales, featuring David Tennant in the role of Scrooge McDuck, will finally launch on Disney XD starting on Thursday 1st March. So far British viewers have only been treated to the one hour special Woo-oo! which aired in November last year.
A reboot of the classic 1980s cartoon favourite, Disney's DuckTales was warmly received when it returned to TV with all-new episodes last year. With a voice cast that also boasts Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Bobby Moynihan, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett, Kate Micucci and Tony Anselmo, the series following the exploits of the adventuring McDuck clan was Disney XD's biggest animated show in over two years when it launched in the USA last autumn.
Disney's DuckTales launches on British TV on March 1st at 4.30pm on Disney XD with the new-to-UK episode Daytrip Of Doom, in which Huey, Dewey and Louie take Webby to Funso's Fun Zone to get her outside of her sheltered life at the mansion and have a dangerous run-in with the Beagle Boys. The episode repeats on March 2nd at 7.30am and 3.30pm.
Meanwhile, viewers in the USA can expect the series back on their screens with new episodes later this spring.
