Good Omens will continue to shoot in and around Capetown until early March. Following extensive post-production it will be released on Amazon worldwide in the first quarter of 2019. A terrestrial broadcast on BBC Two will follow later in the year. BBC Worldwide is currently handling distribution to other countries and details will be announced in due course.

Good Omens centres on an angel and a demon, Aziraphale and Crowley, who have been living on Earth since the Beginning. Putative foes, they are actually the only being that each could could call a friend. So when the countdown to the Apocalypse begins, both agree that they enjoy their comfortable life amongst humans far too much to let it go, and agree to do all in their power to avert the end of the world. The only snag is that someone has mislaid the Antichrist.

The series co-stars Adria Arjona (Anathema Device), Jack Whitehall (Newt Pulsifer), Michael McKean (Shadwell), Miranda Richardson (Madame Tracy), John Hamm (Gabriel), Derek Jacobi (Metatron) and Sam Taylor Buck (Adam Young). Good Omens is co-produced by BBC Studios, Amazon, Narrativia and The Blank Corporation and is being directed by Douglas Mackinnon.
