Olivia Colman has told Radio Times that she would be up for another series of Broadchurch, should the creator, Chris Chibnall be up for it after his stint on Doctor Who.
Chris has previously said that the third series of the award winning drama, which aired on ITV last year, was most definitely his last, but the on going popularity of the show continues and fans are more than keen to see more of Miller and Hardy, played by Olivia and David Tennant, and it seems Olivia is with them.
Speaking to the Radio Times at their annual Covers Party on Tuesday, Olivia confirmed she would “absolutely” reprise her role in Broadchurch should Chris return to the series in ten years’ time with a resounding “Hell yes”.
Asked about her vision of a future Ellie Miller she said “She’d be massive. She’d be too old to have any more babies but she would have enjoyed her cake and casserole, I reckon.” And as for Alec, “he’d still be very thin – not eating enough. I can see it now.”
The party was a great chance for Olivia and David to catch up with Olivia saying “David is one of my favourite people in the world, any time spent with David is time well spent. He’s got a whole busload of children and I’ve got half a busload and we’re busy… so this is a proper treat.”
