NEW PROJECT: David Tennant Narrates New CBeebies Drama Gudrun The Viking Princess


David Tennant will be narrating a new children's TV series for CBeebies this Christmas.
Gudrun The Viking Princess, aims to combine drama with factual entertainment for young children.

The series of 20 x 5 minute episodes mixes wildlife and landscapes, Viking history and a rich family of characters all beautifully filmed in stunning Scottish surroundings.



"Gudrun the Viking Princess delivers a lovely narrative of building confidence and solving problems through interactions with the natural world, which we hope will inspire our CBeebies audience”. says Executive Producer Julia Bond.

“Bringing together children’s production and natural history in this unique new format is a dream combination and a commission we are thrilled to be embarking on for CBeebies,” added Nigel Pope, co-founder and creative director, Maramedia.

Series One of Gudrun The Viking Princess will start later this month. Exact transmission is still to be confirmed and Series Two will launch in June 2018. A Gaelic version for BBC Alba is also in the works.
